The Hazaribagh National Park is the most renowned ecological park in the region, which is situated at a distance of 135 kms from Ranchi. The Park has a total of wild animal species such as wild boar, sambara, nilgai, chital, sloth bear, tiger, and pant ate at an average altitude of 615 meters.
The NH-33 runs 111-km across the nature park, taking tourists to the farthest corners and watchtowers around water holes and artificial salt leaks are deliberately positioned for the purposes of tiger sightings.
A number of watchtowers to view the forest and wild life have been constructed and a Forest Rest House built at Rajderwah, 18 miles, from Hazaribagh.
