Kaitha Shiv Mandir

The ancient Kaitha Shiva temple, located at a distance of three kilometers from Ramgarh, has been designated as a national historic site. The central government has recently declared it a monument of national importance.

The temple was built in 1670 by Maharaja Dalel Singh when the capital of Ramgarh Raj was transferred to Ramgarh from Badam. The sculpture of this temple is magnificent. The Shivalinga in the temple is located at a height that is accessible utilizing two stairs. The architecture of this temple is unique as it is a combination of Bengal, Rajput, and Mughal styles of architecture.

The main Shivling which is worshipped in the temple is placed at a height of more than 12 feet and is accessed by stairs. A five-hooded naga canopy covers the main Shivling. There are tridents and murti of Hanuman in the temple complex.
