Dimna lake is a serene spot amidst the Dalma range, an artificial lake in the Steel City of Jamshedpur. There is a dam to flow down the excess water. Water is supplied to the Steel City from this dam. Dimna Lake lies in the Boram Block. The lake is situated near the Dalma Wild life Sanctuary at a mere distance of 13 kms away from the Jamshedpur city area.
It has a facility of boating which makes the place very popular. Boating in the calm lake seeing the tall standing Dalma range and greenery around, makes it perfect place to find peace. Tourists visit this lake especially during November to February. When the weather is chilly. The fog covered hills are a beauty to gaze at. The whole scene looks like a portrait and tourists are amazed by the place. The lake is pretty well-known as a picnic spot with its clear water and scenic surroundings, making it just right for mini treks into the hills, and water activities such as rowing, and jet skiing among many others.
