यह देवघर से १० किलोमीटर दकà¥à¤·à¤¿à¤£-पशà¥à¤šà¤¿à¤® में à¤à¤• पहाड़ी है। यहाठà¤à¤—वान शिव का à¤à¤• मंदिर है। यहाठगà¥à¤«à¤¾à¤à¤ हैं जिसमें बà¥à¤°à¤®à¥à¤¹à¥à¤šà¤¾à¤°à¥€ लोग रहा करतें हैं। कहा जाता है कà¤à¥€ सीता नें यहाठतपसà¥à¤¯à¤¾ की थी।
Blessed with the divinity in the surroundings by Lord Shiva, Tapovan Caves and Hills are places that a person cannot afford to miss while traveling around Deoghar. The caves of Tapovan were the sacred space for the saints to perform penance. This gave it the name of Tapovan. Many renowned saints and ascetics like Maharishi Valmiki and Sri Balananda Brahmachari did penance in the caves of Tapovan. Even Ravana, the demon scholar chose this place for penance.
Tapovan is famous hiking and picnic spot for locals. You can reach the top of the hill inside 30 min by way of stairs. As you climb the steps, you'll see numerous temples and caves at extraordinary heights at the Tapovan parvat. On the hilltop, you could get a breathtaking view of the landscape. Below the hill, there is a small Kund (water – body) called Sita Kunda through the local community. It is a holy water body. It is stated that Sita used to take a bath here.
